What is Look It Up?
We often fear the unknown. At the very least, we are uncomfortable with the unfamiliar. A Christian who cannot navigate his Bible will never reach his full spiritual potential. Following the Scripture in a sermon, studying a lesson, and discerning God’s purposes are all daunting tasks when one is missing this basic Christian life skill. When a child knows how to navigate the Bible, it will influence his daily living.
There are three sections to this guide.

- 36 Weekly Written Exercises (individual practice) Permission granted to be copied for individual classroom use.
- Answer key to written exercises
Look It Up provides a proven method for developing a valuable skill in those who have very little knowledge of how to navigate their Bibles. Each week focuses on a different theme. Each verse is completely written out. Look It Up is designed with oral and written practice. Oral practice, designed to be a quick part of each daily Bible lesson, takes five minutes or less and provides classroom practice. Written practice is used to check individual understanding of the skill. By the end of the course, children will be able to find any verse in their Bible quickly and confidently.
